Volleyball

Learning the fundamentals of volleyball can be a lot of fun. Volleyball is a unique and exciting sport that requires solid teamwork and consistent individual execution.

Unlike many other team sports, players rotate through different positions on the court, so everyone must be prepared to play different roles on the team. At the competitive level, players can specialize, but beginners and recreational players should learn the basics of all positions.

Volleyball is a team sport played between two teams with six players on each team.

The object of the game is to score points by getting the ball to hit the ground on the opponent's court (offensive phase) and preventing the opposing team from doing the same (defence phase).

Volleyball is also often called shortly volley.

Volleyball has been included in the Summer Olympic Games program since 1964 at the Tokyo Games, consolidating its fame and its status as a top-level sport, and is now one of the most practised sports, especially among women.

In addition to this, on a sunny beach, another variant of volleyball had captured the hearts of millions of fans: beach volleyball. This exciting version of the game, introduced to the Olympics in 1996, presents a new level of difficulty due to the unpredictability of the sand as a playing surface.
